INSIGHTS AND AWARENESS
- Some highlights about Japan that some new visitors might find interesting - Japan’s population, currently 127,463,611, experienced a high growth rate during the late 19th and early 20th century, as a result of scientific, industrial, and social changes
- High sanitary (the best toilets in the world) and health standards has led Japan to have one of the highest life expectancy in the world, at 81.25 years of age as of 2006.
- About 80 million of the urban population are heavily concentrated on the Pacific shore of
Honshuu, Kyushuu, and Metropolitan Tokyo with approximately 12 million; Yokohama with 3,555,473; Osaka 2,624,129; Nagoya 2,190,549; Sapporo 1,854,837; Kobe 1,513,967; Kyoto 1,466,163; Fukuoka 1,325,611; Kawasaki 1,290,426; and Kitakyushu with 1,000,211 each account for part of this population.
Some facts about Japan
1.         Japan has roughly 200 volcanoes.
2.         You can buy batteries, beer, wine, condoms, cigarettes, comic books,
hot dogs, light bulbs, and used women’s underwear from vending machines.
3.         Many Japanese people eat rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
4.         Never stick your chopsticks upright in your rice or pass food with chopsticks. This is an old Japanese custom and is what is done when food is offered to the dead. When it is not an offering it is considered to be very rude.
5.         Japan is about the size of California and has half the population of the entire United States.

1) any of the XL life members -  found each and everyone fascinating to speak with Rick, Lawrence, Yoshi, Honda, Michael, Harumi, Mayumi, Andrew, Makiko, Shiraishi-san - the more curious I was the more intriquing and interesting their story was.
 

 RESULTS

Makiko and Tamami agreed to initiate a XL Life Members Toastmasters group
-           best of luck to Michael and his team with the expansion and syndication
for XL Cafe`s in Tokyo, Rick and his team with the expansion of XL into Osaka, and to  Harata san and Inaba san and Tsuboya san and the team in Tokyo.
 
Look forward to seeing you in October and yes a Japan tour with stops in Fukuoka, Tokyo and Osaka is very possible. ACTION - En-joy the new distinctions, awareness, and understanding. Build rapport, shine brightly and coach with your head - heart communication flowing.
