6) Enthusiasm during Ramadan - Flexibility

For a facilitator presenting during Ramadan, I was greeted with extreme responses during the entrepreneur coaching. On the one hand we had Andy, a wonderful entrepreneur in the travel industry. During each buddy coaching sessions, he was getting wonderful insights and distinctions about ways to expand his business, hire good people, develop strategic relationships and have more fun. He was full of energy - energy in motion.

On the other hand, we did have a couple of auditory learners who were affected with the day long fasting without food or drink and obviously were taking in some of their lessons with their eyes mostly closed.

In other countries when I sense the need for some action and energizers, I immediately get the music rockin and rolling and wake everyone up.

In this instance I decided to shift strategies a little and extended the session with the close eye meditation. For twelve minutes, everyone had an opportunity to rest their eyes, rest their bodies, and rest their minds as they smoothly and simply went into a nice relaxing meditative state. After the guided meditation, everyone single person in the room perked up and appeared to have received two to three hours of wonderful rest.
