As part of the feedback process and in response to the question “what is the biggest support that government can provide to an entrepreneur?”

Over 50% of respondents from the Entrepreneur Life Coaching program would like to see government provide the framework for information and information exchange, specifically, entrepreneurs surveyed in Perth want increased access to information, specific skills training, mentorship, advice and coaching. Approximately 20% of the respondents suggest funding in terms of grants, special rate loans or start up seed capital or access to funding would be beneficial while about 15% suggested that the government should reduce the administrative burden by simplifying filing and reduce paperwork. About 10% would like to see taxes reduced for entrepreneurs.

In my short time in Perth, I would summarize Perth’s strengths as 1) People – I was pleasantly surprised to walk around the streets at night and see the hustle and bustle of the city life, experience the multicultural, multiracial, and multi ethnicity flavor of the city – English, Asia, Indian, African, European – and witness everyone living in harmony - it is a wonderful memory of Perth and the people of Perth.2) Enthusiasm and Energy – there is a buzz in Perth – folks in Perth are enjoying the economic boom of the past five years as growth in the real estate sectors and strength in the mining and natural resource sectors have made the Perth economy one of the strongest economies in Australia and now second most expensive cities in Australia.

3) Respect – as a first time visitor to Perth, I sensed a good feeling, a common decency and RESPECT for others in Perth. The service in the hotel was terrific, the tram drivers were friendly, the captain and crew on the cruise ship were entertaining, and the participants in the first Entrepreneur Life Coaching program in Perth were OUTSTANDING.
