 Thank you to all the participants, supporters, organizers,and speakers of the  Asia Pacific Speakers Summit - Singapore (www.apss2007.com) - ”The Business of Speaking and Beyond” - May 17 & 18

WOW WOW WOW - the final keynote presenter for the Speaker Summit in Singapore was the living legend of professional speaking W Mitchell (www.wmitchell.com) from the United States - Mitchell - certified speaking professional, hall of fame member from the national speakers association USA, incoming 2008-2009 President of the International Federation for Professional Speakers (www.iffps.org) encapulated the four E’s of professional speaking with his thirty minute presentation - Eloquence from the platform, expertise in the speech craftsmanship, the enterprise value of professional speaking, and the ethical messenging with his passion and inspiration for nurturing and encouraging youth and professionals to “plant the seeds” of compassion, service, and a connectedness.

The closing audience of 175++ were awed by Mitchell and it was a brilliant close to the two day event presented by the Asia Professional Speakers Association www.asiaspeakers.org Singapore.

Professional Speakers from more than ten nations gathered in Singapore to share best practise in the speaking industry and to support, nurture and encourage the growth of the speaking industry in Asia Pacific. Started in 2002, APSS was founded to inspire and support a environment of professional speakers, trainers, faciliatators and people who make their living through spoken communication.

Today APSS is a community of 80 strong in Singapore and is a full member of the International Federation for Professional Speakers with over 6,000 members worldwide.The Master of Ceremony of the two event was Certified Speaking Professional Rob Salisbury from Australia and he was supported by founding APSS President Margaret Loh.

The Summit entitled “The BUSINESS OF SPEAKING AND BEYOND” was launched by the Past President of the Professional Speakers Association of Europe Frank Furness (www.frankfurness.com). Frank is one of the top sales presenters in the world and he delvered his high content, high impact, high value presentation with his usual eloquence, expertise, and enterprising nature.

Frank was followed by Singapore’s Everest Climber David Lim who share his inspiring KEYNOTE Presentation about RESILENT Leadership.

David was followed on stage by ROCK YOUR LIFE speaker Mike Handcock (www.mdh.co.nz) from New Zealand and world class voice expert Deborah Torres Patel (www.expressingyou.com) from the USA who combined to entertain and educate the audience with energy, excitement, and MUSIC!

The SUMMIT included more than thirty five presentations with topics ranging from talent and stress management, to peak performance, to doing business in China, India, Indonesia, and the Middle East.

One of th most informative sessions was conducted by consultant, speaker and world class advisor Philip Merry (www.philipmerry.com) from Global Leadership Academy who treated the audience on a presentation by Cross Cultural Communication!

Day One was brought to close with Asia’s Leading Wealth Consultant Roger Hamilton (www.resultsfoundation.com) with an inspiring presentation that highlighted the BUSINESS OF SPEAKING AND BEYOND. Hamilton, Chairman of XL GROUP, is an entrepreneur who speaks. He shared an inspiring message that included technology, music, and anecdotal stories to share his message that the force of good of entrepreneurship, that is “social entrepreneurship”, is the change agent that will shift global consciousness and make this world a safer, healthier, happier, place to live.

Day Two featured platform speaker Nikil Desai from India sharing some insighful tips on laughter, breathing, and taking more responsibility for living a life of possibility. Nikil was followed on stage by Canadian Eric Edmeades (www.ericedmeades.com) who shared some wonderful stories about moving from Canada to the United Kingdom as well as some effective applications of neuro linquist programming. The Summit was brought to a close by our final keynote speaker W Mitchell CSP CPAE.
